Excellence of “The Ridge”

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8 ESV)

There are some folks whose talent in something transcends interest in that activity.  I’ve always enjoyed the possibilities of a bike (bmx, mountain or otherwise) but Danny MacAskill is one of those people whose ability can be appreciated even if you disagree that Rad is one of the most under-appreciated films of our time.  His newest video, The Ridge, filmed in the Isle of Skye in Scotland along the notorious Cuillin Ridgeline, is breathtaking.  Between the skill of MacAskill and his crew and the scenery, I find the entire thing lovely, commendable, excellent and worthy of praise.  Fittingly then we can think about this thing that points us to the One who created MacAskill, his crew and the scenery.

And yes, what happens at 6:10 is as ridiculous as you thought it was.
